Site updates: October 9th 2015

I'm not sure what sort of prizes we could give out (since we don't have a currency based system like Goatlings ) but I'd be down for some events.

Like maybe some sort of spooky time drawing contest? I don't think the current site has a mascot like the old one did so maybe we could kind of combine it into mascot contest meets Halloween themed art challenge?

Or maybe a contest for best spooky short story?

OH! Remember the crazy insane cryptic code you did for that mystery flop rp we tried making on /that/ site? What if we (the admins) create a secret coded message like that and whoever solves it gets a prize?

That's the only ideas I've got floating around my head space right now.

Well, I can put in a point system, that could be used as a currency type thing (not a perfect one mind you, but it could still be something.) but only if people want that.

I like the contest ideas tho!

I'm still kind of hung up on what prizes we could give. It's not like we have to think right now of what prizes to give out. I mean we could give our own art work of whatever they want, a cheap online gift card type thing to buy a game or book online? Or mail them something? Though some people aren't ok getting mail from people they know strictly online. Also that'd involve real money to ship the things and we both aren't exactly loaded... Hm.

If it's just a gift card or something 2-dimensional, that's easy to send in a letter or whatever, but I sort of feel since the forum is so small, it's sort of odd almost to just be sending stuff when the 'competition' would be so limited. O-: The point system sounds good. I just don't really know what would be good as an incentive.

I might cave and carve a pumpkin this year (I carved two last year since my sister ended up not carving her's so I used it.. no pumpkins go to waste at my house) and it'd be cool if people who carved pumpkins posted pics and we all vote on which is the "pumpkin king".

Also..that being said.. maybe we should not carve Jack Skellington? (I did last year the teeth were a pain)
But if people want to then I won't stop them but Jack is the "pumpkin king".

Reminds me of the pumpkin contest I did in pre first where I got most creative pumpkin xD or was it best name? All I know is was over protective of the pumpkin and would've tackled someone who dared tried to stomp it.
It was a dracula pumpkin named pumpcula. Dad named him and basically carved it since small children and knives is a horrible idea.

I'm gonna wait a few more days before going to buy one. Those suckers will rot quick if you don't preserve them.
